Over the past few months, I’ve become increasingly involved with entrepreneurship through Emerge: Be enterprising at the University of Sheffield. They are the university's dedicated Entrepreneurship team and run all sorts of incredible events throughout the year, with the highlight being the Emerge Awards Showcase.
I was lucky to be able to intern with the team for the setup and duration of the event, with my primary jobs being socials (which invloved being dragged into filming all sorts for their social media!) and helping organise winners for photos, as well as handling food, and, of course, carrying the microphone around during the Q&As.
I am also incredibly proud to share that I was nammed Enterprise Student Champion for my involvement with Emerge and what they offer this academic year, including their networking sessions, Northern Gritstone Morning with a CEO, and the second cohort of their selective Business Founders Pathway course.
I’m very grateful for the people, experiences, and opportunities that have shaped this journey so far, and I’m excited to continue learning, building, and connecting with others in the space.
